I had to break out the old MPC for this one. The words come from an interview with C. Northcote Parkinson, a 20th century naval historian and source of one of my favorite quotes: “The chief product of an automated society is a widespread and deepening sense of boredom.”
I like this quote in theory, but would be surprised if anyone would call today’s technological world “boring”. And anyway, this song’s not really about that, at least not directly. Ideal and reality. Thinking and doing. It’s just so messy sometimes…
If you’d rather have a version without the words…

Yo that new track is awesome. Seriously I love it’s vibe with the laid back string instrument (what is that? did you sample that?) it kinda sounds like madlib meets emancipator (if you haven’t checked out emancipator, I think you’d really like him - all his samples are homemade, every single one, and his production is MAD clean)
