We had our (sortof) monthly writer’s group meeting tonight. It was at my house, so I was in charge of giving people an assignment and providing snacks and tea. We had fruit salad:
And the assignment was to bring in something that makes a sound and tell a story that incorporates the sound in some way. Nice and vague.
Matt started off the festivities in style with a performance to which I’m sure most cyclists can relate:
Jim then scarred our minds with a story about a wooden frog and people wearing socks at awkward times:
Tracy brought a traditional noisemaker that we thought was only used for New Year’s, but is also apparently used at Purim celebrations:
Joanna rounded out the performances with a remembrance of the sounds associated with glowing pixels:
After the performances we talked about the demise of print culture and rise of government sanctioned torture.
