Last week I checked out the MIT Science Journalism Panel organized by the MIT Careers Office. Jonathan Fildes, Science and Technology reporter for BBC News, Karen Weintraub, Deputy Health/Science Editor for the Boston Globe, and Trisha Gura a freelance science and medical journalist and author of Lying in Weight spoke about a range of issues in science journalism, including how to find stories, how to check facts, how to break in, and how to survive the ongoing media apocalypse. All three have been or currently are Knight Fellows.
