Noted game designer, author, and professor at USC’s School for Cinematic Arts, Chris Swain, gave a talk on the future of video games at MIT on January 28th, 2009. It’s a fascinating look at the current and future roles of video games in society, well worth the two hours if you’re curious. If you’re pressed for time, I recommend skipping ahead to part 6–Swain makes a compelling argument that we’ll soon consider games to be literature.
